Brief Itinerary

June 28, 2013 - ATHENS:

Civilized Adventures clients will be met at the airport and transferred to our 4* hotel located in the heart of the historic Plaka district of Athens.

June 29 - BOARD THE STAR CLIPPER (B,D):

You may relax over an included buffet breakfast.  Later, our local guide will take us on a private tour of Athens, including a visit to the famous Acropolis and lunch with a view.  Our tour ends at the port where we'll board the Star Clipper and prepare to set sail.

June 30 - MYKONOS, GREECE (B,L,D):

The Star Clipper will drop anchor at Mykonos by midday; we’ll have the rest of the day to explore. Star Clipper offers two optional 1/2-day tours including a volcano hike and a coach tour of the island or you may just want to explore on your own.

July 2 - AT SEA (B,L,D):

We enjoy a day at sea sailing along the coast of Greece, through Mediterranean waters and into the Ionian Sea.

July 3 - KATAKOLON, GREECE (B,L,D):

Katakolon is a village on the shores of the Ionian Sea.  SPECIAL FEATURE: Our Civilized Adventures’ clients will enjoy a PRIVATE tour to Olympia this morning.

July 4 - CORFU, GREECE (B,L,D):

The lushest (and some say the loveliest) of all the Greek islands, Corfu lies just a stone’s throw from the Albanian coast.

July 5 - KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (B,L,D):

Protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the medieval city of Kotor has a spectacular location in a stunning rock-walled chasm that splits the coastal mountains of Montenegro. It is possibly one of the prettiest, most unspoiled towns you’ll ever see.  SPECIAL FEATURE: Our Civilized Adventures’ clients will enjoy a PRIVATE walking tour of Kotor today. We meet our guide upon disembarkation and explore this charming medieval town.

July 6 - DUBROVNIK, CROATIA (B,L,D):

It was George Bernard Shaw who said, “Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik.”  Indeed, Dubrovnik is a treasure by any measure made more precious by its miraculous restoration. SPECIAL FEATURE: Our Civilized Adventures’ clients will enjoy a private tour of Dubrovnik’s “Hidden Treasures”.

July 7 - KORCULA, CROATIA (B,L,D):

Framed by dense green forests of allepo pine and twisted cypress, the red tile roofs of Korcula is a very picturesque sight.

July 8 - HVAR, CROATIA (B,L,D):

Idyllically located just off the Dalmatian coast, the island and the little port named after it have been a favorite getaway ever since the time of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians and even Austro-Hungarian royalty.

July 9 - MALI LOSINJ, CROATIA (B,L,D):

The warm sands of Cikat Bay are an irresistible magnet for beachgoers.

July 10 - VENICE, ITALY (B,L,D):

Venice is the heart and soul of romance. On landing this morning you’ll receive disembarkation information.  We would like to invite you to extend your stay in Venice!
