During your adventure to historic Churchill, Manitoba your days will be packed with colourful adventure, and an immersion into the culture of Churchill. You will have an opportunity to view the Northern Lights each evening weather depending. Each day, you’ll return home to the comfort of your cozy log lodge and fire, delicious local cuisine, and your private room with all the modern amenities.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1- Arrive in Winnipeg

Arrive at Winnipeg hotel. Free day to explore Winnipeg.

Day 2 - Winnipeg to Lazy Bear Lodge, Churchill / Dog Mushing Experience

Check-out from Winnipeg hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Churchill. This afternoon, embark on a Cultural and Heritage Tour of the Churchill area, including historic Cape Merry and an outside tour of the Polar Bear Jail. In the evening, take a ride by an excited team of Huskies in the Northern Boreal Forest. You will have time to meet the Huskies and hear stories from a local dog musher (approx. 2-3 hours).

Day 3 - Helicopter Tour & Indigenous Craft Session

Today, depart on an exciting helicopter ride (approx. 1.5 hours) and enjoy views of the magnificent coastline of Hudson Bay and the town of Churchill. Look for Polar Bears, Beluga Whales, Moose, Caribou, Red and Arctic Fox, Ptarmigan and Arctic Hare. Later that day, enjoy a fascinating Parks Canada Interpretative Presentation to learn more about the history and geography of the area. You will also have the opportunity to interact with local communities.

Day 4 - Boat Tour, Boreal Forest Walking Tour & Arctic Crawler™ Tundra Tour

After breakfast, begin the day with a cruise down the Churchill River (weather permitted) to greet the“Ambassadors of the North”, the gentle and curious Beluga Whales. Later, experience the beautiful fall colours in Churchill on a Boreal Forest walking tour with an interpretive talk. You will also go on a Tundra Tour on an Arctic Crawler™ to view the beautiful landscape.

Day 5 - Churchill Northern Studies Centre / Back to Winnipeg

This morning, enjoy a walking tour of The Churchill Northern Studies Centre including an interpretive guided hike to the Rocket Range. Later that day, you will be transferred to Churchill Airport for your return flight to Winnipeg.

Day 6 - Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Winnipeg airport for your return flight.
