    Brief Itinerary

    Oct 16 – Vilshofen

    Embark on your cruise and attend an exclusive Oktoberfest celebration with traditional beer and Bavarian folk music and dancing.

    Oct 17 – Vilshofen, Passau

    In the historic town of Passau (2nd century BC) join the Castle Hill hike – high into the hills for a visit to the Veste Oberhaus, a fortress founded in 1219 and enjoy panoramic views of the Old Town and the rivers below the “City of Three Rivers”. In Passau the mighty Danube River is joined by both the Inn and Ilz Rivers.

    Oct 18 – Linz

    This morning, enjoy a scenic bike tour along the banks of the Danube. Cycle through the “Culture Mile” in Linz, the Austrian “capital of culture”, passing museums and concert halls. This afternoon, we can visit the beautifully preserved medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, located just over the Czech-Austrian border. Picturesque Baroque and Renaissance-style shops and Krumlov Castle, a UNESCO monument and one of Europe’s largest castle complexes overlooking the majestic Vltava River.

    Oct 19 – Weissenkirchen

    Enjoy a walking tour in Durnstein along the cobblestone streets to the Baroque Stiftskirche and Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abbey. Enjoy a wine tasting of locally grown, world-renowned white wines.

    Oct 20 – Vienna

    Join the “Imperial Vienna” walking tour visiting the Imperial Palace, Opera House and ending in the historic city center or take a guided biking tour of the Klosterneuburg Abbey and Monastery. Leisure afternoon.

    Oct 21 – Bratislava

    Explore the “Coronation City of Kings” on foot or join the special Tastes of Slovakia food tour. For a more active adventure hike up to the 9th-century Bratislava Castle for magnificent city views over the capital.

    Oct 22 – Budapest

    Start your morning in the Great Market Hall visiting stalls full of delicious food before heading to both the Buda (hilly) and Pest (flat) sides of the Danube River. Visit the 19th-century Chain Bridge connecting the two sides and don’t miss the medieval monuments and museums in Castle Hill district. Tonight, cruise past the Parliament Building as the city turns on its dazzling lights.
