Villa Mahabhirom
One- to Three-Bedroom pool villas
Located not far from Chiang Mai’s old city, Villa Mahabhirom is home to 14 villas. The one- to three-bedroom royal villas offers salt-water plunge pool and private garden courtyard. Some Villas feature a covered, open-air living room on the ground level decorated with objet d’arts and antiques from the Owner’s Private Collection.
The property has an organic garden for growing a small selection of vegetables, herbs and spices, and for composting food waste. The restaurant sources all of its ingredients locally, seasonally and free-range.
The Mahabhirom Tea Room offers a fantastic view of the main pool with the picturesque mountain as the backdrop.
The historic Old City and chic Nimmanhaemmin neighbourhood, with its trendy bars, cafes and restaurants, is a mere 10 – 15 minutes away by car.
The Villas
Antique Thai houses (ruean thai) with provenance dating back over a century – represent the pinnacle and elegance of residential architecture of the Central Plain of Thailand and offer between 50 and 98 square metres of combined living space. Raised on stilts and topped with a distinctive gabled roof complete with handmade clay tiles, the restored teakwood Villas reflect the social, cultural and religious beliefs as well as the traditional way of life of the Thai people. Refitted to suit modern lifestyles, the upper level of each Villa houses a suite of bedroom, study area and spacious Italian marble bathroom featuring the latest amenities. A covered, private, open-air balcony extends from the suite for you to enjoy our lush tropical garden.
Villa Royale 1-bedroom pool villa features 77-98 square metres (829-1,055 square feet) of combined living space. The upper-level suite comes with either king bed or twin beds, while the covered ground level serves as an open-air living room. The villa features a private, 8 x 4 m. (26 x 13 ft.) salt-water plunge pool and private garden courtyard.
Villa Royale 2-bedroom pool villa comprises two units of Villa Royale and features a private, 8 x 4 m. (26 x 13 ft.) salt-water plunge pool and private garden courtyard (Maximum 4 adults).
Villa Royale 3-bedroom pool villa comprises three units of Villa Royale and features a private, 7 x 4 m. (23 x 13 ft.) salt-water plunge pool and private garden courtyard (Maximum 6 adults).
Dining
The diverse dining options include a signature Restaurant where you may savour authentic, delicious, home-cooked-style Thai and international dishes featuring the freshest ingredients from the Thai Royal Project. The private Mahabhirom Dining Room is available for family and friends to admire the wooden interiors and glamourous antique chandeliers. The covered Noppadol Verandah overlooking the main pool and garden serves as a perfect venue for sunset cocktails.
Indulge in an afternoon tea in the Mahabhirom Tea Room. A selection of fine, delicate, aromatic, organic teas from Thailand’s only organic tea plantation is available to complement a pleasant afternoon.

Villa Mahabhirom is located on the road to the historic Wat U Mong (U Mong Temple), against the mountains of Doi Suthep (Suthep Peak), the symbol of Chiang Mai. Nearby on the same road is Wat Suan Dok, the temple of the former royal family of Chiang Mai.
